As a music educator, she specializes in vocal music at the Elementary and Middle School level. Most recently Mrs Prillaman was the director of an award winning middle school chorus in Holland Township NJ. Her teaching philosophy centers around a curriculum rooted in Kodaly with special focus on critical thinking skills and interdisciplinary learning environments.
Mrs Prillaman’s coined the phrase "use our music to make a difference in someone's day" and is one of the central authors of the Da Capo Way.
Dedicated to her family, church, community and to the Da Capo Institute, Tracee leads the children's choirs at HRBC and leads Animato and Cantare. Tracee's passion is teaching young musicians to use their music to make a difference in their world.
Relocated to the Richmond VA area in 2000 with her husband Jeff, Tracee currently enjoys an active freelance consulting music education role with state and local church music organizations. She has four beautiful children: Alyssa , Emma, Joshua, and Clara.
